Learn More About the TNF Superfamily

The proprietary DN mechanism can be applied to all proteins that are structurally related to TNF, collectively referred to as the TNF superfamily. Proteins in this class include 4-1BBL, APRIL, BAFF, CD27L, CD30L, CD40L, FasL, LIGHT, OX40L, RANKL, TNFα, TNFß, TNFc, TRAIL, TWEAK, and VEGI. TNF superfamily members are a rich class of drug targets that have been implicated in a broad range of pathophysiologies, including lupus and other autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, inflammation, and cancer. In addition to DN-TNF, Xencor is actively pursuing inhibitors of other members of this family such as RANKL for the treatment of metastatic bone disease and osteoporosis, and BLyS/BAFF for lupus and other autoimmune diseases.
